  • Introduction: Introduction: Coronavirus is one of the viruses that play an important role in causing respiratory diseases. Covid disease is one of the most important viral diseases in the current decade, which has created a widespread pandemic in the world. This disease was first reported on December 8, 2017 in Wuhan.
  • Methods: Materials and method: The current study is a descriptive-cross-sectional type. In this study, the initial diagnosis of COVID-19 was made by the treating doctors. 100 blood samples containing anticoagulants were collected in CBC tubes. The samples were tested for blood parameters by the cell counter machine.
  • Results: Results: Based on the results obtained from the number of 100 examined samples, 45 cases (45%) of their platelet counts were lower than the normal value. 25 cases (25%) were faced with a decrease in platelet count up to 145000 and also in 30 cases (30% ) samples, no change in their platelet count was observed.
  • Conclusion: conclusion: In the current study, according to the measured parameter (platelet) in people infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus, it was found that this virus can have different physiological effects in different people, and one of its complications is related to the reduction of the number of platelets. be platelets. Therefore, it seems necessary to carry out additional studies.
